The Student Council in Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) is an integral part of the school community, aimed at fostering leadership, responsibility, and collaborative spirit among students. Composed of student representatives from different classes, the council serves as a voice for the student body and plays an active role in organizing school events, promoting discipline, and participating in decision-making processes that enhance the school environment.
Student Council members are elected based on their leadership skills, academic performance, and enthusiasm for school activities. Guided by teachers, the council helps plan cultural, social, and academic events, promotes values like teamwork and integrity, and works to instill a sense of responsibility in the students. This initiative reflects KVs’ mission to nurture well-rounded, responsible citizens. Students’ Council Investiture Ceremony is held to confer the authority and responsibility to the newly selected Students’ Council Office Bearers.
